Kimi’s K3.1 Pro Launch Draws Fire Over an Influencer Brief
Posted guidelines told creators to skip the paid-partnership label; @kimmonismus says Kimi ruined its own launch.
The model drew praise on Friday. By Saturday the talk was about how it was promoted.
@elshayib_ posted what he describes as Kimi’s promotion material for Kimi K3.1 Pro. He says he knows all the influencers working with the company and that none of them are honest. He says he posted about the model himself but never used the templates Kimi provides.
A post by @NFT_Chen, in Chinese and reposted by @MiaAI_lab, sums up the overseas promotion guidelines: send drafts for review first, do not add the Paid Partnership label, add no links and do not tag the official account. @EvanZhouVC says the request to omit paid-partnership labels is worth an explanation.
@kimmonismus, who covered the launch, says he did not receive the brief. “K3.1 pro is a great model and it did not need people to fake good reviews,” he writes, but trying to cheat makes the whole launch look bad. Mia calls it a bad move, and says asking for no paid tag on promoted posts is bad practice and illegal. Kimi had not responded in our sources by Saturday morning.
