A Free Claude Code Course Walks Through Hooks, Skills and Subagents
Claude How To pairs each feature with copy-paste templates and a beginner-to-advanced path.
A guided path through Claude Code’s parts, with files you can copy into a project.
@RoundtableSpace recommends Claude How To, a free guide on GitHub under the MIT license. It promises a path from beginner to advanced, with time estimates, diagrams, copy-paste templates and quizzes.
The repo is organized by feature, one folder each: slash commands, memory, skills, subagents, MCP, hooks, plugins, checkpoints, advanced features and a CLI reference. A comparison table sets out how each one is triggered: slash commands by hand, skills and subagents automatically, hooks by events.
Its quick reference is the fastest way in. Project memory goes in ./CLAUDE.md. Skills go in .claude/skills/ for one project or ~/.claude/skills/ for all of them. Subagents live in .claude/agents/, and an MCP config in .mcp.json.
The post says a first setup takes 15 minutes, and that the guide is available in English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Ukrainian and Japanese.
