Google’s Workspace CLI Ships 100+ Agent Skills for Gmail, Drive and Docs

One npx command installs them; the repo says it is not an officially supported Google product.

Skills as a product feature: one SKILL.md per API, plus recipes.

@RoundtableSpace points to gws, one command-line tool for all of Google Workspace from the googleworkspace team on GitHub. Its pitch: your agent can work inside Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Sheets and Docs.

The repo’s README says it ships 100+ Agent Skills as SKILL.md files: one for every supported API, higher-level helpers for common workflows, and 50 curated recipes for Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar and Sheets.

Setup, per the post: install the CLI with npm install -g @googleworkspace/cli, run gws auth setup, then add the skills with npx skills add and the repo’s URL. The README also shows how to add a single service, such as the Drive or Gmail skill, by pointing npx skills add at its folder.

The post gives sample asks: find every invoice PDF in Drive from last month, make a Sheet that tracks these leads, or show Thursday’s calendar. It says gws works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and other agents that use skills. The README notes it is not an officially supported Google product, and the post expects changes before v1.0.
