@clairevo’s New Prompt Has an Agent Hunt Down Your Old Internet Trail

Forgotten blogs, bios and tagged photos, found through your email and sorted into a sheet.

Same shape as her security audit: search the email, check each account, sort it all into a sheet.

On Wednesday @clairevo shared a prompt for finding what was at risk after a week of hacks. She has now “upgraded” it into a cyber security prompt for “your embarrassing internet trail.”

The steps: go through your email and find old blogs, social accounts, photo sites, forums and usernames you have forgotten. Use the agent’s browser to check them for oversharing, relationship drama, terrible takes, cringe bios and photos you probably do not want public. Check comments, replies, tagged photos and posts on other people’s pages too.

Two guardrails stand out. The agent should tell your own content from reposts and check what is actually still visible. And it should not flag something just because it is old. Everything worth reviewing goes into a spreadsheet with direct links, dates, excerpts, why it is embarrassing and what you can do about it. The last step: purge.

Her result: her “cringesec” is pretty high, and the run turned up an album from a summer in Europe in 2006 and an old Last.fm profile with 15,000 songs streamed before 2008.
