@levelsio Publishes His Prompt for a Custom GTA San Andreas Mission
Paste it into your agent: a “Vibe Coded” mission where CJ builds a startup and raises $10,000,000.
A mission called “Vibe Coded.”
@levelsio posted the full prompt to make your own GTA San Andreas mission on macOS: “just paste it in your clanker, you can change the mission of course to your own story.”
The goal in the prompt: CJ walks into a marker in San Fierro, drives to a diner, sits at a desk with his co-founder and “vibe codes” a startup called Vibes AI in a minigame. Then he drives to an investor office and pitches. The investors invest $10,000,000 and the mission passes. All dialogue is voiced and subtitled.
Five parts, lots of gotchas.
The prompt tells the agent to work step by step, check each step works and back up everything first. Part 1 downgrades the game to v1.0 US, because the CLEO modding tool only works on v1.0, and installs CLEO 5 and SilentPatch. Part 2 lists Mac and CrossOver gotchas, such as deleting a settings file before every launch.
Part 3 writes the mission as a CLEO script in Sanny Builder 4 syntax, using real coordinates, model IDs and animation names read from the game files, “never guesses.” Part 4 covers voice acting with text-to-speech, ffmpeg and Whisper for subtitles. Part 5 is testing: reload the save after every change and change one thing at a time.
Told that Opus 5.5 would figure all of this out by itself with a good testing framework, @levelsio agreed: “this was just Claude explaining you how to do it because it was quite a process.”
