@levelsio Sees AI Coding Reach a Small-Town Day Job
A friend at a traditional company in Austria: “everything takes me only 5 seconds now.”
A regular software job, a traditional company, a small town in Austria.
@levelsio says today is the first time a friend in that position “finally got fully AI-pilled.” The friend asked to stay anonymous.
His messages in their group chat, as @levelsio quotes them:
“It’s crazy, everything takes me only 5 seconds now.” “This is the future guys.” “Being a coder in 2027 will only be about taste.” “Code is over.”
A $10K license on the chopping block.
The friend’s employer said its CMS renews soon for a $10K/year license, so the company will cancel it and vibe code its own dashboard.
A signal from outside the startup world.
On X, @levelsio writes, people have been using AI to code for years, and he hasn’t read code for over a year himself. This is the first time he has heard someone in a regular software job in a small town in Europe say this kind of thing, outside a startup.
“So maybe a signal AI coding has really reached mainstream? I thought it already did but apparently it didn’t.”
