SemiAnalysis Says Anthropic Is A/B Testing Claude Usage Limits

SemiAnalysis says it detected an A/B test: it decreases monthly API value by about 20% while increasing 5-hour usage limits by about 20%, and it only affects some accounts. Many users on X reporting lower limits “are not wrong,” it writes.

@kimmonismus sums it up: same subscription price, less total usage. “Why not being transparent from the very beginning?” he asks in a reply.
